What you’ll do Define, align and maintain the technology strategy for the Product Integration Platform Ability to interpret business challenges and technical issues and effectively communicate how a solution will align to their needs and requirements;Drives understanding of the big picture. Works in close cooperation with Technical and Commercial Product Owners, Vodafone Enterprise, local markets and partners; leading to the Technology strategy, High-Level Design and contributing to shared propositions;Enable solution opportunities by identifying the requirements directly from the Vodafone local markets/Partner markets or by proactively understanding their needs. What's in it for you The Product Integration Platform function within Digital Engineering is a service provider for containerized cloud and API gateways, as well as software delivery and lifecycle (APIs, microservices, ...) for Vodafone products and services, and beyond. And it is owning the Product Integration Platform that is enabling, orchestrating and exposing Markets and Group capabilities to third parties and Vodafone services. The PIP consists of the API exposure layer, the Global Integration Gateway, lots of micro services, Websub (PubSub) and AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounts), mostly based on the K8s based CaaS (Container as a Service) capabilitiy.The Product Integration Platform function is accountable for architecture design, development, deployment and operations of state-of-the-art propositions in the API and integration space.By using the latest technologies and agile delivery practices, all these APIs and platforms are provided with highquality to ensure excellent brand and revenue impact on 150 third parties in more than 20 markets are contributing
to more than 800m€ gross revenue p.a with 3000TPS in peak.The purpose of this role is to define and lead the overall architecture strategy and roadmap for all aspects of the Product Integration Platform. The architecture will be developed to provide innovative solutions that meet the market and global business requirements, whilst ensuring compliance with the architecture standards and design principles. Part of this role is also to contribute and enhance the architecture standard where applicable and to show disruptive ways proving to be successful.
The role incumbent should as well be able to guide developers using the appropriate design patterns and best practices and even to demonstrate them.The Principal Architect will lead the architecture domain in the Product Integration Platform function and provides guidelines, direction, mentorship and expert support to several senior architects, developers and technical experts that work in the different projects. As the lead technical representative for Product Integration Platform, it is vital to stay connected inside and outside the Vodafone Technology community, with industry experts to understand the latest technology trends and drive innovative solutions. Strong analytical, functional, technical and communication skills are imperative for this role. The role will also lead the governance and evolution of the platforms and API strategy.
