This is an exciting role working with third-party logistics providers in the Rocky Mountain and Desert Southwest markets for Starbucks. The Partner can be based in Denver, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, or Phoenix regions.
As Regional Distribution Manager, you will…
The Regional Distribution Manager (RDM) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the distribution centers within their assigned region - this includes overseeing metrics, handling escalations, and leading and developing continuous improvement ideas. The RDM will also assist with annual financial planning and work with cross-functional teams on projects, best practices, and operational opportunities.
The RDM is expected to inspire and influence others to achieve results and hold the distribution centers accountable for performance standards as per Starbucks SOPs. They will also serve as the Starbucks point of contact for 3PL providers for service and cost accountability.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution centers within the assigned region Oversee metrics and handle escalations Lead and develop continuous improvement ideas Assist with annual financial planning for the distribution centers Work with cross-functional teams on projects, best practices, and operational opportunities Inspire and influence others to achieve results Hold the distribution centers accountable for performance standards as per Starbucks SOPs Serve as the Starbucks point of contact for 3PL providers for service and cost accountability Liaise with retail ops, distribution field service, and daily relationships with 3PL providers Standardize and ensure compliance with Starbucks policies and procedureWe’d love to hear from people with:
10+ of experience in retail distribution center management Logistics Service Provider experience Strong leadership and management skills Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build relationships with external partners Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle escalations Ability to travel nationwide as needed

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
