Job Summary:
The ER Manager is a working leader, responsible for facilitating workplace investigations as well as managing the operational aspects of Employee Relations. As a senior leader on the team, this individual will act as the first point of contact on escalations, providing guidance and mentorship for more junior ER advisors. They will also be responsible for complex ER cases, with high visibility across the system. The operations portion of the role will include case delegation across the investigations team and support to the ER leader in reporting and analytics. This position reports to the Employee Relations COE Leader.
Execute workplace investigations in accordance with all relevant policies and maintain detailed documentation.
Address manager and employee-initiated complaints in accordance with HR polices.
Provide consultation to managers on interpretation of HR policies.
Handle employee inquiries related to ER issues and questions.
Provide support as needed to senior business leaders throughout the employee investigation and resolution process.
Support managers in resolving employee conflicts including Performance Improvement meetings and involuntary termination processes.
Act as first level of escalation on complex cases for entire advisory team.
Responsible for promoting a positive employee experience and increased satisfaction through efficient and courteous service.
Support ER leader with ER reporting and analytics.
Drive case delegation process across entire ER investigation team.
Manage ER operations team.
Performs other duties as assigned

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline Required
Master's Degree Human Resources, Business, or related discipline Required
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Minimum 8 years years of Employee Relations experience Required
Minimum 3 years of people leadership Required
Experience in Healthcare Preferred
In-depth knowledge of Employee Relations, HR policies and procedures.
Thorough understanding of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations concerning labor relations. (e.g., EEOC, ADA, FMLA).
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Ability to handle confidential information and maintain employee data by following case management process for investigations and disciplinary activities. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and business acumen.
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills with strong customer service orientation.
Proven skill to empower others appropriately to assess situations and resolve problems.
