Note: Benefits may vary based on position type and/or level **Job Summary** Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) is committed to an effective compliance program. The Corporate Compliance Manager works under the Compliance Vice President or Director. They manage activities related to developing, implementing, and maintaining BSWH policies. These activities ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. **Essential Functions of the Role** + Partners with the BSWH Compliance Director or Chief Compliance Officer. Serves as a technical professional for BSWH on laws, regulations, and compliance risk areas. + Assist the Compliance Director or Chief Compliance Officer with designing and implementing the annual audit plan for the BSWH Compliance Program. + Manages workflow and the compliance audit process. Ensures audits are completed on time and follow regulatory requirements and the Corporate Compliance audit plan. Provides written reports on auditing activities. This includes identifying and assessing risks, planning and conducting compliance reviews, compiling review documents, and reporting findings. Offers recommendations, including corrective action plans, regulatory guidance, and education. + Assists the Compliance Director, Chief Compliance Officer, and BSWH Law Department. Responds to federal, state, and internal investigations. Oversees project direction for timelines and regulatory compliance. Maintains project documentation, government correspondence, and project database. + Establishes partnerships with management to address business ethics and compliance issues. Identifies and implements leading-edge principles and practices. + Maintains current knowledge of government laws, guidance, and regulations. Establishes risk and impact on BSWH operational procedures. Communicates changes and assists in modifying existing processes or developing new ones to comply with regulatory changes. + Maintains professional proficiency through continuing professional education. + Reviews and updates procedures, recommends updates in policies and recommends new policies as appropriate. + Responsible to develop and retain staff, providing performance feedback and corrective action. + Acts as a technical resource for staff and provides project direction and oversight, evaluating project status, modifying priorities as required. + Complete annual staff evaluations. Monitor goal progress by meeting with staff to ensure goals are met. Provide mentoring, training, and career development opportunities that align with the BSWH Talent Management path. + Performs other duties as assigned. **Key Success Factors** + Healthcare experience preferred. + Management experience preferred. + Excellent knowledge of corporate compliance and business ethics programs, HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory requirements, interview and investigation skills. + Mastery of computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, is required.
