Your role at BaxterEnsure efficient, safe, and optimized warehouse operations by maintaining inventory accuracy, material flow, compliance with quality standards, and driving innovation through digitalization and automation. Lead the warehouse team to achieve SQDCI (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory) objectives and support plant strategy under the Baxter Operating System principles.
What you'll be doing:Inventory & Material Control:
Maintain inventory accuracy (>98%) through cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy analysis. Ensure proper ERP transactions (SAP or equivalent) for material movements, transfers, and adjustments. Oversee materials in transit, kanban areas, and transfer zones.
Warehouse Operations:
Define methods for receiving, storing, identifying, and distributing materials to production areas. Maintain shipping system integrity (standard cost, inventory, documentation). Manage stock levels, delivery times, transportation costs, and operational efficiency.
Innovation, Digitalization & Automation:
Lead projects to implement automated and digital systems for storage, distribution, and material control. Promote Lean tools (Andon, Kanban, Min/Max, Double Bin) and visual management.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure compliance with regulations (FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 9000, ISO 45001) and internal policies. Participate in CAPA activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Implement 6S principles and maintain high audit scores.
Leadership & Team Development:
Ensure adequate staffing, training, and development of warehouse personnel. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, initiative, and teamwork. Provide motivational leadership and clear communication to achieve SQDCI objectives.
Strategic Management & Vendor Relations:
Negotiate with carriers, customs brokers, and insurance providers. Manage contracts and SLAs with logistics service providers. Plan future capacity and optimize warehouse resources.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Inventory: Accuracy >98%, inventory turns, lead time reduction.
Safety: Zero accidents, 6S compliance.
Cost: Transportation and storage optimization.
Delivery: Service level >95%.
Digitalization: % of automated and paperless processes.
What you'll need:
Technical: ERP (SAP, JDE, RAPID RESPONSE), Lean Manufacturing, inventory management, international logistics.
Leadership: Team development, effective communication, decision-making.
Analytical: KPI tracking, data analysis, problem-solving.
Innovation: Digitalization and automation implementation.
Additional Core Competencies: Financial Acumen – Understands cost drivers and manages resources effectively. Problem Solving – Identifies root causes and implements sustainable solutions. Customer Service – Ensures high service levels and responsiveness to internal/external customers. Optimizes Work Processes – Streamlines workflows for efficiency and productivity.
Education: Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years managing warehouses in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Languages: Intermediate-Advanced English.
Knowledge: FDA regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 9000, ISO 45001, Lean tools, WMS systems.
