Manage and direct the Investigator Site Contracts team ensuring information is reflected directly into the investigator contract templates, protocol pricing, payments terms and contract and budget negotiation.
Essential Functions
Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable legislation.
Collaborate with Management to set performance goals and meaningful objectives and identify measures for evaluating goal achievement.
Monitor resource capability and capacity, complexity of contracts and assign and direct resource appropriately, appraising performance and guiding professional development, rewarding and disciplining employees.
Drive quality outputs and improve grants, budgeting and contracting standards, and ensure compliance.
Responsible for performance of direct reports, overseeing the contract development process and ensuring consistency across all respective deliverables.
Identify skill and competency gaps at the individual level and craft development plans that will close the gaps.
Participate in the selection and on-boarding process for new Investigator Site Contracts staff by conducting candidate review and participating in the interview process.
Ensure staff have the appropriate materials, systems access and training to complete job responsibilities.
Provide advice, support and guidance as needed and serve as a mentor to colleagues and staff.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Related field Req
• 6 years clinical research experience, including 3 years experience in a leadership capacity.
• Full knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, SOPs, and company’s Corporate Standards
• Strong knowledge of site contracts and budget management and resourcing.
• Considerable working knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and e-mail applications
• Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to independently coordinate and manage new processes
• Ability to lead and motivate teams
• Ability to handle management/personnel issues
• Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize tasks
• Ability to work well within a matrix team environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
