Job Description

Required Skills:

Familiarity with OpenText ALM or similar Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).Basic knowledge of database management systems and Oracle SQL.Understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.Familiarity with automation or scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).Knowledge of VBScript.2-3 years of hands-on experience with ALM Octane.Strong understanding of Agile/DevOps methodologies.Experience in test case management, defect tracking, and requirements traceability in Octane.Experience integrating Octane with CI tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Bamboo.Familiarity with Octane Dashboards, Pipelines, Workspaces, and Shared Spaces.Good knowledge of test automation concepts and test lifecycle.Experience writing or using REST APIs for Octane integration (Must have).Familiarity with Jira, ALM/Quality Center, or similar test management tools is a plus.

 

Tasks:  Jobs and responsibilities are detailed below,

 

Support the administration of OpenText ALM platforms, ensuring smooth operations and availability.As a beginner in this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, configuration, and administration of OpenText ALM solutions, helping to ensure the seamless management of the software development lifecycle.Provide basic troubleshooting and support for OpenText ALM issues or incidents.Participate in system upgrades and patching, ensuring that all ALM environments are up to date.Document configurations, processes, and best practices to maintain knowledge of the system.Administer and manage ALM Octane workspaces, users, roles, and permissions.Configure and customize Octane modules (Requirements, Backlog, Tests, Defects, Pipelines).Integrate CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) with ALM Octane and monitor test pipelines.Generate reports and dashboards to track testing progress, quality metrics, and team productivity.Use Octane’s REST API for automation, reporting, or integration tasks as required.Provide technical support and training for end-users and troubleshoot issues.Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to align Octane usage with business needs.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
