The Effectors Department within Manufacturing and Test Engineering (MTE) performs calibration, maintenance, and diagnostics as well as providing measurement capabilities to Effectors make centers and engineering labs.
 

What You Will Do
The Metrology Lead will manage a team of bargaining unit employees in accordance with the approved contract, support equipment calibration schedules, work prioritization to meet customer demands, and act as calibration management interface between Metrology homeroom and organizations, factories and engineering labs.

Supervise 15-20 Metrology Calibration Service and Mechanical Service Technicians and factory teams to ensure timely responses.

Manages priority calibrations and repair of Test Equipment, facilitate resolutions surrounding calibration equipment data and schedules for internal and external customers across the plant-site

Collaborate with leadership on budget planning, monitor expenses, CER compliance and reporting of financial status

Solve routine CMS, (Calibration Management System) problems that are of limited scope and complexity

Maintain and update CMS database

Support department and directorate level initiatives

Approves purchase requisitions

Employee coaching, mentoring, training

Collaborate and communicate with factory teams

Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures.

Oversight of personnel issue resolution

Timecard approvals

Adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and      

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment

Strong organizational and computer skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Verbal and written technical communication

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.

Engineering or technical experience in product test, manufacturing, or electronics

The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Metrology practices, policies and procedures regarding the Calibration and Maintenance System

Experience with operation and usage of a Calibration and Maintenance System

Experience managing a team of bargaining unit employees

Experience facilitating resolutions surrounding calibration equipment data & schedule including transportation

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
