**About the role**
As a CBRE Metrology Manager, you will assist with leading the team responsible for providing service delivery to customers.
This role will support the Critical and Technical Services job function responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
This is an onsite opportunity in Ft. Dodge, IA, and we're open to candidates that are able to relocate to this area.
**What you’ll do**
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
· Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Manage financial budgets and goals. Balance workload, equipment, and human assets as necessary to improve efficiency.
+ Oversee the organization to achieve customer satisfaction. Work with customers with the renewal and expansion of calibration service agreements.
+ Plan and provide technical and on the job training opportunities to personnel.
+ Verify the department remains technically proficient regarding metrology methods, theory, and statistical techniques relevant to laboratory operations.
+ Assist with audits and support technical processes.
+ Prepares estimates for on-site and in-lab calibration work.
+ Engage in Metrology laboratory workload planning.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
+ Identify, fix, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
**What you’ll need**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
+ Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
+ Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach.
+ Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP.
+ Knowledge of HEPA filter testing and Bio Safety Cabinet certifications is preferred.
+ Preferred experience and knowledge in a GMP regulated industry.
