We’re looking for a Metrology Lab Technician to join our Electric Systems Power Generation team, a group at the forefront of developing advanced components like Integrated Drive Generators, Variable Frequency Generators, motors, and ram air turbines.
In this role, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our components meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. You'll collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to inspect and analyze critical parts, supporting both new designs and production across plant sites and external partners. Your work will directly impact on the quality and success of the systems that power the world’s most advanced aircraft.

**What You Will Do**
+ Perform inspections to evaluate components and help resolve production, supply chain, and design-related challenges.
+ Manage day-to-day lab operations including scheduling, calibrations, certifications, equipment coordination, and maintaining a clean and organized (5S) environment.
+ Collaborate with Design and Product Support Engineers to develop inspection methods and perform analyses that evaluate component conditions.
+ Identify and recommend new equipment, tools, or processes needed to improve lab efficiency and better support business needs.
+ Create and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, repeatability, and quality across all lab functions.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Hands-on experience with precision inspection tools and metrology equipment, laser measurement systems, and surface profilers
+ Familiarity with calibration processes and standards
+ Understanding of electromagnetic systems or components used in aerospace or related industries
+ Experience supporting or working with cross-functional teams such as Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Operations
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement inspection and analysis techniques
+ Exposure to 5S, lean lab practices, or continuous improvement methodologies
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings and communicate across technical teams

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
