Metering Material Handler- 1st Shift
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Metering Material Handler- 1st Shift. The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $21.94/hour per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** + Responsible for loading products onto Metering assembly lines to keep flow of product smooth and efficient + Move all products in a safe manner. + Operate standup lifts. + Store, space, and deliver materials or products. + Stack pallets and arrange materials. + May be required to palletize and secure material as needed. + Receive training on the use of powered industrial trucks and other powered material handling equipment. + Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities. + Additional duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** **Basic (Required) Qualifications:** + Valid state issued driver’s license required. + Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. + Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Sherman, TX (50 miles) will be considered for this position. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong product knowledge. + Forklift experience both stand up and sit down. **Skills:** **Position Criteria:** + Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently with minimum supervision + Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending. + Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail. + Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. + Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate. + Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business. + Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
