The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for Metallurgical Technician who is excited by the variety this role offers. As a Metallurgical Technician in the Kalgoorlie Laboratory, you will be responsible for performing tests and procedures to extract valuable minerals from raw ores within the mineral processing industry and gain hands-on experience with analytical equipment.
This full time position will be based in Kalgoorlie WA and is open to sponsorship for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Sample preparation – sorting, crushing, screening and pulverising Performing a range of routine test work within set guidelines and priorities Operating general metallurgical equipment
About You
A formal qualification in Metallurgy or working toward is highly regarded WA Drivers Licence is required Have a Police clearance within 12 months or the ability to obtain one Previous experience in a metallurgical processing facility is highly required Maintain a high quality of work while meeting daily production targets Commitment to attending your rostered shifts Comply with all site and Bureau Veritas QHSE policies Processing and interpreting data Familiarity with mineral processing principles and techniques. Computer literacy skills, preferably with a laboratory LIMS.
