Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Product Owner you will ensure the product requirements are captured and prioritized according to customer and team member needs, especially for Rockwell Automation's industry-leading commercial software known for its innovation and usability, in particular real-time scalable features based on Rockwell's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that are often integrated with machine automation and control systems as well as ERP software.

For this you will need to interact with various stakeholders including but not limited to Product Managers, Customers, Engineering teams. In general, you must collaborate with multiple global teams and require you to work in large project teams.

Joining Rockwell Automation Software Development group allows you to become part of a team that is committed to using reliable and well-thought-out engineering and software development practices such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).

You will report to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering and have a hybrid schedule working in Hinjewadi, Pune, India

Your Responsibilities:Manage one or more products within MES value stream. One product owner will have to work with one to three Scrum teamsContribute to the product vision and roadmap by actively working with product management teams and assisting with grooming and prioritizing the product backlog·Work closely with product management team to plan and manage Features, Capabilities and Epics in Jira Align and to plan product releases· Create and manage product requirements using requirements management software, JAMA· Manage and prioritize the team backlog on a regular basis by grooming, creating, and planning user stories in Jira.Drive acceptance for the work done by Scrum TeamsWork closely with Scrum teams to detect quality issues as they occur and help the teams with corrective actions.Prompt engagement in various ART and Scrum ceremonies.Contribute significantly to PI planning by coordinating with Product Management, RTE, Scrum Masters and the Scrum teams.The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent10 years of experience working with software product development including significant background with large-scale enterprise system development projects8 Years of domain experience in manufacturing5 Years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant or Quality Consultant handling MES or similar products.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Master's degree in Business AdministrationCertified SAFe Product Owner/Product ManagerDomain experience with life sciences, pharmaceutical industryExperience with Cloud or Hybrid enterprise software systemsExperience with Rockwell Manufacturing Execution Systems (Pharma Suite, FTPC, CPG Suite, Auto Suite or PMX)Experience of working in SAFe methodologyExperience with tools like JAMA, Jira Align, JiraGood understanding of modern software delivery practices like rapid prototyping, CI/CD, containerization, virtualization etc. and various test strategies like TDD / BDDExperience with security, data communication, and contemporary user interface technologies in enterprise environment.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, that enables collaboration with global teams
