Tractor Supply Company is currently hiring for our 2026 Merchandising Summer Internship Program at our Store Support Center located in Brentwood, TN!  

 

The SSC Merchandising internship is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in retail merchandising by providing them with hands-on experience in a specific area of our merchandising operations. In just 11 weeks, you will work within one focus area —supporting a buying team, contributing to product development, enhancing merchandise operations, or analyzing pricing strategies — to make meaningful contributions that support our strategic initiatives. This internship offers the chance to gain valuable skills in your specific functional area while experiencing our organization’s culture and learning how our merchants drive success at the nation’s largest rural lifestyle retailer.

Buying Team: Support the operations of our buying teams to understand their unique needs and contribute to product selection, procurement, and vendor relationships.   Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market, conduct market research, and provide insights to enhance our product offerings.   Events: Contribute to the planning and execution of special merchandising events and promotions, both in-store and online.   Merchandise Presentation: Assist in setting plan-o-grams, executing space planning strategies, and optimizing product placement to enhance the in-store shopping experience and maximize sales.  Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics tools to gather insights, monitor key performance indicators, and make data driven recommendations.   Required Qualifications Currently pursuing bachelor's or master’s degree in operations management, retail merchandising, consumer science, marketing, data analytics, or a related field  Ideally, a junior, senior, or graduate student, although sophomores with a strong interest in retail and merchandising, is encouraged to apply  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills   Excellent communication and teamwork abilities  Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment  Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship
