**Shift:**
**Description:**
Provides the following services to clients including: conducting face-to-face assessments; establishing diagnoses; making treatment suggestions; ordering Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) services (when indicated); and, assisting with referrals to BHIS providers. Responsibilities encompass the provision of advanced evaluative, preventive, therapeutic, restorative and personal care services to assist in meeting the complex psychosocial needs of clients and their families, thus enabling them to better utilize program services and resources in order to achieve their optimal level of change/well-being.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** **:**
**Provides mental health, substance abuse, trauma, and personal growth related therapy services to clients. Applies advanced psychosocial theory and methods to individuals as well as families and groups with appropriate regard for the complexity of given problems.**
**Applies concepts of client centered care to improve client outcomes. Coordinates internal/external services to provide as complete a continuum of care as possible.**
**Provides therapy services in individual and group sessions.**
**Provides crisis intervention and conflict resolution assistance. Demonstrates ability to differentiate between emergency and non-emergency tasks and responds accordingly. Provides immediate supportive counseling and necessary assistance to clients dealing with a crisis or emergency situation.**
**SCHEDULE:**
**Day Shift/ 40 hours weekly**
**MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED** **:**
**· Master’s Degree in a human services related discipline, required.**
**· Licensed to provide mental health therapy in the State of Iowa (LMHC, LISW, LMFT, etc.) and meets the requirements necessary for an LPHA designation.**
**Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within first 30 days of employment.**
