Job Description:
As a Mental Health Technician, you are responsible for supporting the behavioral and emotional needs of residents at the facility. Mental Health Techs assist individuals with goals, managing activities of daily living and daily program needs.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities, including meals, hygiene, and recreational activities.Monitor resident behavior, mood, and interactions; document observations accurately.Provide emotional support, encouragement, and redirection when needed.Assist in treatment and behavior management plans under staff supervision.Promote a safe, respectful, and structured environment.Respond to crisis situations and follow established safety protocols.Accompany residents to appointments, group activities, or community outings, as assigned.Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and healthcare providers regarding resident needs.Support residents in developing coping skills, independence, and healthy routines.Maintain confidentiality and comply with all facility policies and state regulations.Education: Bachelor Degree
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field preferredAct 33/34 ClearancesState Police Motorist's ClearanceBondableExperience: 6 months
