Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Mental Health Technician to join our team.This position does not require a degree, but it does require individuals who are patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting the emotional and behavioral needs of our clients.As a Mental Health Technician, you will assist residents with daily living activities, provide emotional support, observe and report behavioral changes, and help maintain a safe, structured environment.Working under the supervision of licensed professionals, you will play a key role in supporting treatment plans and promoting overall well-being for individuals in recovery or with mental health challenges.This role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

Responsibilities:

Assist residents with daily living activities, including meals, hygiene, and recreational activities. Monitor resident behavior, mood, and interactions; document observations accurately.Provide emotional support, encouragement, and redirection when needed.Assist in implementing treatment and behavior management plans under staff supervision.Promote a safe, respectful, and structured living environment.Respond appropriately to crisis situations and follow established safety protocols.Accompany residents to appointments, group activities, or community outings, as assigned.Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and healthcare providers regarding resident needs.Support residents in developing coping skills, independence, and healthy routines. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all facility policies and state regulations.

Education: High School

High School Diploma or GEDCompleted 12 semester hours of college training in a mental health related field. Or if you have 6 months of formal training in mental health or a related field.

Experience: 6 months

Act 33/34 Clearances, valid PA driver's license, and State Police Motorist's Clearance Bondable
