Position Summary:
Reporting to the SeniorAssociateAthletic Director for Mental Health, Wellness and Performance, the split role of Mental Health Coordinator/Mental Performance Coach works with TUWell staff to coordinate comprehensive mental health and wellness services to Division I collegiate student-athletes.
This position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments for TUWell clinicians; triaging referrals through brief clinical assessments to determine the level of care and disposition;interveningwithstudentsincrisis and providing support, resources, and information; keeping an up-to-date database of community referrals; and delivering outreach touniversityandcommunity partners, providers and resources. The Mental Health Coordinator will perform other duties as assigned.
The Mental Performance Coach atTUWell will provide comprehensive mental performance consultation services to student-athletes and teams at Temple University. This position will have a caseload of up to six teams and offer one-on-one sessions for student-athletes, mental performance training programs for teams, and coach consultations. This position is also chargedwithreferringpotentialmentalhealthconcernstofellowpractitionersinTUWelland outside resources depending on the concern.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor'sdegree in social workfromaprogramaccreditedby the Council on Social Work Education, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical setting with direct patient care, case management, and psychosocial issues of children or young adults.
CertifiedMentalPerformanceConsultant(CMPC)throughthe Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP)
PreferredQualifications:
LicensedMasterofSocialWork(LSW)
Experienceinintercollegiateathleticsorclinicalsetting
Master'sDegree in relevantfield.
