Grand Hyatt at SFO is seeking a motivated and highly organized Meeting Connections Manager to join the hotel’s Sales team. This is an entry-level sales management position within the hotel sales department and carries an assigned performance quota.
The Meeting Connections Manager is is an entry-level sales department job which manages a defined account base, booking short-term meetings, and supporting revenue generation through proactive sales efforts. This role focuses on special accounts or specific market segments and is ideal for someone who is goal-oriented, service-minded, and eager to grow within hotel sales.
This is a fast-paced position requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify, pursue, and convert business opportunities for the hotel.
**Key Responsibilities**
· Manage accounts and assigned market segments to achieve individual and hotel sales goals.
· Book short-term meetings and smaller group opportunities for the hotel.
· Maintain and grow an assigned account base through consistent follow-up, relationship building, and proactive outreach.
· Develop new leads and research business opportunities within assigned markets.
· Make direct sales calls to potential clients to generate new business.
· Manage internet-based lead platforms and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
· Assist in driving hotel revenue through prospecting, account management, and conversion of qualified leads.
· Prepare proposals, contracts, and client communications in alignment with hotel standards.
· Partner with Sales, Events, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to ensure business is properly qualified, booked, and handed off.
· Maintain accurate account, activity, and production records in the hotel’s sales systems.
· Meet or exceed assigned performance quotas, activity goals, and revenue targets.
· Represent Grand Hyatt at SFO professionally in all client interactions, site visits, networking opportunities, and internal meetings.
· Demonstrate Hyatt’s culture of care by building positive relationships with guests, clients, colleagues, and business partners.
The position is salaried non-exempt and works a 42.5-hour work week (scheduled 9 hours per day with a 30 minute unpaid meal break). The salary range is $63,000 - $73,000.

**Qualifications:**
· A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
· Goal-oriented with a strong interest in sales, hospitality, and client relationship management.
· Ability to conduct proactive outreach, including direct calls, lead follow-up, and prospecting.
· Comfortable using sales systems, internet-based lead platforms, Microsoft Office, and related business tools.
· Completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training preferred.
· One to two years of previous hotel experience preferred.
· Previous sales, front office, events, rooms, or hospitality operations experience a plus.
· Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
