MedTech Field Service Engineer - Central
Job Responsibilities:Mammography System & Gantry ServiceInstall, troubleshoot, and repair mammography imaging systems, including fixed and rotating gantry assemblies.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electromechanical gantry components, including:o   Motorized arms and rotational assemblieso   Compression paddles and drive mechanismso   Bearings, counterbalances, encoders, belts, and lead screwso   Positioning sensors, interlocks, and safety systemsPerform system level fault isolation across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.Conduct mechanical alignment, motion verification, and system calibration in accordance with manufacturer specifications.Restore system operation following mechanical failure, component wear, or functional misalignment.Installation & UpgradesSupport system installations, relocations, and de installations, including:o   Gantry assembly and disassemblyo   Mechanical alignment and structural setupo   Post installation functional validationPerform hardware and software updates following approved service procedures.Verify system performance after repairs, modifications, or upgrades.Documentation & ComplianceAccurately document troubleshooting activities, repairs performed, parts replaced, and system status in service management systems.Follow applicable MQSA, FDA, radiation safety, and internal quality system requirements.Maintain required service records and technical documentation related to imaging equipment repairs.Schedule:20 hours per week minimumRegional travel to clinical sites as required by territory assignment.Required Qualifications:EducationAssociate degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, or related technical discipline OR equivalent combination of education and relevant field experience.Experience3–5+ years of hands on experience servicing medical imaging equipment or complex electromechanical systems.Direct experience with mammography systems or closely related imaging platforms (e.g., X ray, fluoroscopy, C arms, CT gantry assemblies).Demonstrated experience supporting mechanical motion systems, rotating assemblies, or precision electromechanical structures.Technical Skills (Required)Strong skills in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and OEM service documentation.Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and alignment or calibration equipment.Ability to safely handle, secure, and align gantry subassemblies during service activities.Physical and Travel RequirementsAbility to lift and maneuver components up to 70 lbs with appropriate assistance.Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work around imaging equipment for long periods.Preferred Qualifications:Prior OEM or ISO mammography system experience.Direct experience with gantry alignment, motion control tuning, or compression system servicing.Experience working in regulated medical device environments.Background as a Field Service Engineer supporting diagnostic imaging equipment.Working knowledge of DICOM, PACS, or hospital IT interfaces as related to imaging systems.Benefits:NoneIQVIA is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services to the life sciences industry. The potential base pay range for this role is $27.00 - $32.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
