Job Duties:
+ Daily clinical operations of a newly opened Medical/Surgical unit
+ Mentor, supervise, and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continual professional growth
+ Participate in managing budgets, resource allocation, scheduling, and staffing
+ Analyze quality metrics and implement improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
+ Address staff concerns and promote positive employee relations.
+ Manage staff schedules, including vacation and sick leave, to ensure adequate coverage on the unit.
+ Develop and implement staff education programs to maintain clinical competency and stay updated on surgical nursing best practices.
What you'll bring:
+ Passion for Medical Surgical Nursing
+ 5+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical experience
+ Medical Surgical leadership experience preferred
+ Clinical expertise in Nursing, computer skills in Microsoft suite, excellent communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and best practices.
+ Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required, Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
+ Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
+ Certification: BLS from American Heart Association Required
Salary Range
USD $146,250.00 - USD $156,000.00 /Yr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
