Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, the Manager, Medical Staff Peer Review/Risk Management performs a wide variety of functions designed to coordinate and maintain the integrity of the Patient Safety, Risk Management and Medical Staff peer review programs. All duties will be performed in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the mission and vision of the hospital and the department.Minimum Qualifications
Education Degree in a health care related field required Evidence of continuing education, specialization in Risk Management or Master’s Degree preferred Experience Clinical or healthcare organization experience preferred. Experience with implementation of improvement methodologies and data management preferred. Licensure and/or Certification Certification in risk management or patient safety preferred Membership in ASHRM preferred Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required Detail Oriented Ability to manage data and generate reports Knowledge of statistical processes and measurement techniques Ability to work independently and facilitate teams Organizational skills Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Experienced Computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite and specifically Excel competency. Knowledge of performance improvement, root cause analysis and failure mode effects analysis methodologies Ability to maintain confidential information and conduct sensitive inquires with discretion.
