This is a Salaried position. Overview We are looking for an experienced Credentialing Office Manager with a strong background in physician credentialing. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the credentialing process, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and lead the team in maintaining accurate, up-to-date provider records. POSITION SUMMARY: Manager, Medical Staff Office provides day to day oversight and direction to the Medical Staff Office Team in keeping with the Bylaws of the Professional Staff and the OSF HealthCare Medical and Allied Health Staff Credentialing Policy and Procedure manual. Ensures the provision of an effective privileging system that enhances our value of providing a caring response to the physical and emotional needs of our patients by assisting in assuring that the medical care they receive is given by individuals who are qualified for the privileges they receive and maintain. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate’s Degree Experience: 2 years hospital Medical Staff Office or Credentialing Verification Office experience or related Licensure/Certifications: Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certified within 1 year of hire or upon eligibility as determined by National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) if eligible prior to 1 year deadline Other skills/knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office Advanced level of knowledge of the medical services profession and credentialing and privileging. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively work with physicians, residents/fellows, faculty, and other licensed healthcare practitioners including midlevel providers such as Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Nurses. Advanced analytical ability and independent judgment in order to gather and interpret information and data relevant to a professionals credentials and qualifications and their request for privileges to ensure safe patient care, ethical conduct and the ability to respect and preserve confidential information entrusted in the course of professional practice; reveals confidential information only as needed and in accordance with any applicable law PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: Knowledge of medical terminology.
