Medical Secretary
Job Description + Direct patient registration, patient insurance, billing, and collections to ensure accurate patient billing and efficient account collection. + Broad knowledge of front office practices and procedures, including the Company’s Electronic Medical Records system (EMR). + Broad understanding of insurance practices and procedures. + Assist with billing-related issues. + Ensure compliance with regulations and standards of performance for quality care. + Answer telephones and assist with patient check-in/check-out, as needed. + Direct patient requests or questions to the appropriate provider. + Schedule appointments. + Provide assistance to other office staff as needed. + Maintain excellent customer service skills in dealings with patients, coworkers, and the public. + Maintain patient confidentiality. + Perform related work and other duties as required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must have at least a high school diploma. + Must have at least 2+ years of medical exp within patient access/patient scheduling/front desk/secretary or back office experience. + EPIC experience is preferred. + Must have great customer service skills. + Must be comfortable working in a high volume doctor office. + Must be familiar with insurance/pre-auth process. + Would be a plus if they have urology experience. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
