**About the job:**
In this exciting role as Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Oncology within our Medical Affairs (MAF) BeLux team you are responsible for discussing our products, studies and results and providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to health care professionals and to your colleagues as required by scientific and business needs. You will focus on the Flemish-speaking area of Belgium.
As an MSL, you have an external focus and have the capability to discuss scientific content on a peer-to-peer level with leading specialists. You will have the responsibility to collect external insights during your interactions and use these insights to inform the medical affairs/Core Value Team strategy. You will demonstrate strategic territory planning and be accountable for the execution of the activities described in the MAF tactical plan.
In this role, you are the scientific and clinical specialist on current and future J&J products for the treatments in Lung Cancer. You will be responsible for staying up to date of current scientific and treatment landscape trends in therapeutic areas of interest and organize educational events. As MSL, you will interact extensively and collaborate closely with the Medical Advisor and the other MSL in the therapeutic area.

**Office location** : Beerse, Belgium – In-field role requires limited office presence
**Reports to:** Medical Therapeutic Area Lead Oncology
**Type of contract** : regular full-time
We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:
**Must haves** : To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.
+ Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or degree in biomedical/scientific sciences (PhD is an additional asset, but not required)
+ Fluent in Dutch (native or perfectly bilingual) & English (French would be a plus)
+ Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in related fields such as Medical affairs, Clinical development, Real-world evidence, Market access, Sales, External engagement,..
+ Previous experience as MSL is a strong plus
+ Previous experience in set-up and roll-out of (medical educational) events and projects is a plus
+ Scientific Acumen: able to acquire in-depth scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge of Oncology in a short period of time
+ Business and strategic acumen
+ Good understanding of the Belgian health care environment and dynamics
+ Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, ability to prioritize and innovative attitude
+ Able to work in a team and independently with focus on open, clear and collaborative relationships, aligned on common goals
**Nice to haves:**
+ Proven knowledge of Oncology (Lung cancer is a plus)
+ Established network in Oncology (preferable pneumo-oncologists/oncologists)
