Pfizer Medical Affairs colleagues play a vital role in connecting evidence-based medical decision support with colleagues and stakeholders to improve health outcomes and treatment results.
What You Will AchieveAs a Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS), you will build partnerships between healthcare professionals (HCPs), medical societies, academic institutions, and Pfizer. You will lead medical-to-medical communications in your therapeutic area, providing high-level scientific, clinical, and research support.
We are seeking candidates with Oncology experience or at least 2+ years as an MSL in a related area.
How You Will Achieve ItLead proactive and reactive medical-to-medical communications between HCPs and Pfizer’s medical functions.Gather and analyse customer insights to shape Pfizer’s medical activities.Develop and maintain a stakeholder map to identify key HCPs, medical societies, and external partners.Facilitate educational, research, and partnership opportunities between external stakeholders and Pfizer.Respond to inquiries on Pfizer medicines, research, and compassionate use requests.Act as a scientific expert and manage relationships with HCPs, medical societies, academia, and healthcare organizations.Execute therapeutic area strategy under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Field Medical Excellence and TA Medical Lead.Ensure compliance with Pfizer’s medical standards.Support Pfizer-sponsored and investigator-sponsored research activities.Provide additional assistance for Clinical, Regulatory, and Access support for pipeline and inline assets.QualificationsMust HaveA relevant science degree (including healthcare professions).2+ years’ experience as an MSL or deep knowledge of Oncology.2+ years’ experience in a scientific or technical role interacting with academics, researchers, or medical professionals.Strong analytical, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.Strategic business planning and superior customer management skills.Good knowledge of industry codes of conduct and practice.Nice-to-HaveSolid Tumor experience in Lung, GI (gastrointestinal), GU (genitourinary)Medical qualifications or PhD2+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.Additional InformationWe encourage colleagues with the right skills and experience to apply.
