**THE OPPORTUNITY**
The Medical Science Liaison will contribute to increased awareness and to better treatment by discussing results of high-quality trials by building and maintaining trustworthy scientific and medical relations with Health Care Professionals (HCPs). You will be the face of Boehringer Ingelheim to high-level scientific professionals where you will engage in scientific discussions and idea exchange, where an ultimate goal is to ensure that the right patients are treated optimally with a focus on new scientific approaches.
You will report to the **Medical Team Lead** , and the work location will be mostly around **South East of Norway. This is a field-based position,** majority of your time will be spent on the field.

**YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Act as a Health Care Professionals (HCPs) scientific resource and go-to-person for scientific queries and in-depth scientific information related to medications and indications within your area of expertise
+ Generate and communicate scientific data; have a deep understanding of scientific and medical thinking, limitations, and opportunities.
+ Gather insights from the field to support strategic direction to the medical and asset team.
+ Discuss and meet the special needs of External Experts for in-depth and leading-edge information and product/indication knowledge through interaction with this group.
+ Support Internal Medical Teams, Field force, Key Account Managers, Marketing and Market access.
+ Work in collaboration and alignment with the Medical Manager within the **cardiovascular and metabolic area** .
+ Develop and maintain network and interact with HCPs and authorities
+ Document insights from interactions with stakeholders and co-create actionable strategies based on them.
+ Identify need for registries, epidemiological studies, non-trial activities and other medical/scientific projects.
+ Support compassionate use applications, execution of risk management plans, and facilitation of disease management programs
**WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM**
+ PhD or master’s degree in Medicine/Pharmacology/Lifesciences.
+ **Over 5 years of experience** within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, in a field-based position.
+ Knowledge of the Norwegian health care system and the pharmaceutical industry.
+ Knowledge of clinical trial design and process.
+ Excellent command of the **Norwegian & English languages** .
+ Outstanding presentation and communication skills to share scientific content and context to multiple audiences – both orally and in writing.
+ Quality mindset, striving for excellence with a pro-active result driven behavior.
+ Strategic and analytical mindset to drive strategic processes. Support clinical adoption and shape healthcare practices. You influence decision-making and drive engagement through scientific exchange.
+ Ensure compliance and operate effectively within LMI regulations.
+ Collaborative and approachable personality. You work cross-functionally, bring empathy and curiosity, and contribute to a positive team culture.
+ You have a **valid driving license** and are passionate about a field-based role. You are able to travel frequently within Norway, our head office in Copenhagen and the regional headquarter in Amsterdam.
