Job Description
The Radiology Scheduler plays a pivotal role in scheduling exams, ensuring optimum service to customers, and supporting the department to maximize schedules effectively and efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesAnswer phones and guide patients by kindly talking them through the steps and addressing their questions and concerns.Schedule radiology procedures in an organized and efficient manner.Input and update patient information in the medical system.Communicate with physicians, medical offices, patients, families, and insurance companies.Perform insurance verifications and authorizations.Participate in various projects and meetings and complete other tasks as assigned by management.Communicate scheduling issues with management.Compile and maintain all patient charts and any other required documentation.Cross-train and assist in other departments as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency in using computers, fax machines, and related office equipment.Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology procedures and requirements.Detail-oriented with a strong ability to follow through on information requirements.Experience in customer service, healthcare, EMR systems, outbound communication, scheduling appointments, and handling multi-line phone systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience.Work Environment
The position is based in Mt. Kisco and requires working with minimal supervision. Candidates should be comfortable working independently. Once permanent, employees are eligible for healthcare, vision, and dental insurance. After one year of employment, 401K options become available. With 40 locations across Westchester/Putnam, this role offers a diverse and dynamic work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
