Medical Scheduler
Description A Medical Organization located in Los Angele is seeking a Medical Scheduler. The Medical Scheduler must have 3+ years of experience. Job Duties: + Schedule and confirm medical appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits for patients with healthcare providers. + Communicate appointment details, instructions, and any necessary preparation requirements to patients. + Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure timely scheduling of appointments and procedures. + Maintain accurate data in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring all scheduling details are up-to-date. + Assist patients in understanding insurance requirements, including pre-authorizations and referrals, when necessary. + Reschedule or adjust appointments as needed to accommodate cancellations or emergencies. + Answer patient inquiries promptly and professionally, addressing concerns or directing them to the appropriate department. + Collaborate with the administrative and clinical teams to optimize scheduling workflows and minimize conflicts. Requirements + Experience: Previous experience in medical scheduling, medical office support, or healthcare administration is preferred. + Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner is a plus. + Knowledge of medical terminology and patient confidentiality standards, including HIPAA regulations. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage professionally with patients and staff. + Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment. + High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in healthcare administration is a bonus.
