Medical Safety Director, MRI
Join Philips as a Medical Safety Director and play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of our health technology products. You will lead comprehensive safety evaluations, manage risk, and provide expert guidance throughout the product lifecycle, from development to post-market surveillance. **Your role:** + Serve as the medical safety expert for risk management, health hazard evaluations (HHE), risk-benefit analyses, and corrective actions. + Provide critical input to regulatory submissions, including RBAs, CSPs/CSRs and CERs. + Support New Product Design, clinical studies, and Post-Marketing Surveillance (PMS) with expert safety insights. + Evaluate safety data from diverse sources (PMS, literature) to identify and mitigate potential risks. + Stay current with advancements in safety science and regulatory requirements; share knowledge through training and presentations. + Support audits and inspections related to safety processes and documentation. + Contribute to the development and review of safety documents, including risk management plans and safety reports. **You’re the right fit if you have:** + Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree (required). + With over 15 years experience in the medical field, you bring rich insights and transformative skills, including 5+ years of hands-on clinical practice in hospital environments. + You have spent at least a decade spearheading advancements in the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors. + Expertise in medical device risk management and regulatory affairs, with experience interacting with notified bodies. + Proven research track record (completed studies, published works). + Leadership experience, including committee involvement and managing complex organizational structures. + Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills. + Experienced public speaker. + Proactive, assertive, and a strong team player. **How we work together** We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. The pay range for this position in AL, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, TX, VT, VA, WI, and WY are $165,000 to $264,000. The pay range for this position in AK, DE, HI, MD, RI, and WA is $173,250 to $277,200. The pay range for this position in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, DC, is $184,800 to $295,680. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
