Iron Mountain is seeking a **diligent and customer-focused** Medical Release of Information (ROI) Specialist – Cross-Trained in Call Center Operations to join our **Health Information Management** team. In this role, you will be responsible for **ensuring the secure, HIPAA-compliant transmission of patient health records and providing high-quality support for inbound medical inquiries** .
**What You’ll Do**
**In this role, you will:**
+ **Process and validate medical record requests** from patients and authorized entities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of health information.
+ **Collaborate with patients and healthcare providers** via our call center to resolve inquiries and provide status updates on record requests.
+ **Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations** to safeguard protected health information (PHI) at all times.
**What You’ll Bring**
**The ideal candidate will have:**
+ **1 - 2 years** of experience in Release of Information (ROI) or Health Information Management.
+ **Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations** and proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
+ **1 -2 years of** **Proven ability in high-volume customer service experience** , specifically in managing complex inquiries and maintaining data confidentiality.
+ **High school diploma or equivalent** (Mandatory); additional healthcare certification (e.g., RHIT) is a plus.
