Description
A Dayton-based healthcare organization is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining medical records in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Accurately organize, track, and manage patient medical records in both paper and electronic formats
+ Verify the completeness, accuracy, and accessibility of medical records while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
+ Operate and maintain electronic medical records systems, preferably Cerner or Epic, to support efficient document retrieval and storage
+ Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation processes are followed
+ Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations at all times.

Requirements
+ Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification
+ Proven experience in medical records management or a related field.
+ Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, such as Cerner or Epic
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in handling sensitive medical data
+ Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare compliance regulations.
