Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team in Rocky River, Ohio. This is a Contract-to-permanent opportunity, offering an excellent chance to demonstrate your skills and transition into a long-term role. In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate medical records, auditing insurance documentation, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities: • Organize and update active patient charts to ensure records are accurate and easily accessible. • Conduct audits on insurance documentation to support payment reviews and compliance. • Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Office, PointClickCare, and Iron Mountain to efficiently manage records. • Communicate with patients and healthcare staff to address inquiries and provide necessary documentation. • Ensure adherence to privacy regulations and healthcare standards in all record-keeping processes. • Assist with billing functions and claim administration to support financial operations. • Create and maintain charts, graphs, and other visual data representations to track and report key metrics. • Handle inbound calls related to medical records and patient information. • Collaborate with the team to streamline workflows and improve efficiency in back-office operations. Requirements • Proven experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic Software, Cerner Technologies, or Allscripts. • Familiarity with auditing processes and claim administration. • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software. • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients and staff. • Ability to work onsite in a business casual environment. • Experience with PointClickCare and Iron Mountain is a plus. • Knowledge of privacy regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
