We are seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented, and patient‑centered Medical & Dental Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our busy, growing healthcare practice. What You’ll DoAs a vital member of our front office team, you will:
Greet patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and a positive attitudeAnswer and manage a high volume of phone calls with exceptional customer serviceSchedule, confirm, cancel, and adjust appointments to support efficient provider workflowsAccurately enter, update, and manage patient information within EMR and scheduling systemsCoordinate daily provider schedules to ensure smooth patient flow and minimal wait timesAssist with prior authorizations, referrals, and other medical/dental administrative processesMaintain patient confidentiality and ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulationsCommunicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to address patient needsSupport general front‑desk, clerical, and office operations as neededWhat We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
1–2 years of experience as a medical, dental, or healthcare receptionistExperience with EMR systems and appointment scheduling softwareFamiliarity with prior authorizations and insurance‑related tasksStrong data entry, organizational, and multitasking skillsAbility to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast‑paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to patient privacy, accuracy, and professionalismHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Skills & Attributes
Previous experience in a dental or multi‑specialty medical officeStrong attention to detail and adaptability with changing schedulesSelf‑motivated team player with a positive, patient‑first mindsetComfortable using office technology and healthcare softwareInterest in professional growth within a healthcare organizationWork Environment & ScheduleThis is a full‑time (40 hours/week) position in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused healthcare practice.
Office Hours:
Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.Some Sunday availability is required. Flexible scheduling options may be available, including the possibility of four 10‑hour shifts, based on practice needs.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Spring Valley, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
