Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This Contract position offers a unique opportunity to support patients and their representatives during admissions, while ensuring all administrative processes run smoothly. Responsibilities: • Conduct interviews with patients and their representatives to gather essential information during admissions. • Provide clear and accurate answers to inquiries about facility services and policies. • Maintain detailed records of admission, discharge, and transfer activities. • Compile and update census data to reflect occupancy and patient movement. • Perform accurate data entry to ensure all records are properly documented. • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff. • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency. • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations while handling sensitive information. • Assist in managing the front office by answering calls and scheduling appointments. Requirements • Proven experience in data entry and maintaining accurate records. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically. • Familiarity with medical front office operations and administrative tasks. • Knowledge of healthcare confidentiality and compliance standards. • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. • Proficient in using computer systems and software for administrative purposes. • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
