Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a smooth patient experience by providing exceptional front-office support and coordinating care services. Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and visitors warmly while managing check-in for clinic and radiology appointments.
• Provide clear instructions on required paperwork and assist patients in completing necessary forms.
• Collect and verify demographic and insurance information, ensuring accurate data entry into the NextGen system for efficient billing.
• Process co-pays and other patient payments promptly and accurately.
• Prepare daily charts for scheduled appointments, maintaining organization and readiness.
• Assist patients in scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinate interpreter services when necessary.
• Educate patients about the patient portal and guide them through the enrollment process.
• Maintain an orderly and organized front-office environment, including tidying up the lobby and restocking supplies.
• Update the provider database in NextGen to ensure accurate tracking of referrals and provider information.
• Collaborate closely with clinic staff to optimize workflow and continuity of patient care. Requirements • Proven experience in patient registration, medical front office operations, or similar roles.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.
• Proficiency in scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
• Familiarity with data entry systems, particularly NextGen, is preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance processes and eligibility verification.
• Capability to work collaboratively with clinic staff to ensure seamless patient care.
