We chase the miracles of science every single day, pursuing progress to make a real impact on millions of patients around the world. **Main Responsibilities:** **Provide Strategic Direction** + Partners with Global Medical TA Head to provide oversight and maintain the asset Medical strategy and integrated Medical and Evidence Generation plans in conjunction with overall commercial strategy, lifecycle management requirements, and evidence generation/publication needs. + Proactively identifies resource requirements necessary to progress program development in alignment with the Medical and TA objectives. + Drives franchise- wide clarity across Global Medical Teams and other relevant stakeholders to communicate asset strategic imperatives and ensure appropriate prioritization of activities and investments (for Medical CSS, ESR, and non-trial activities). + Partners with Development, NPP and Commercial functions to forge Medical role in Early Development (N-5 to launch timeframe) for Sanofi key assets + Ensures strategic direction of NexGen Immunology Medical is translated and implemented across all franchise-related alliances and helps to facilitate partnership in conjunction with and as an extension of the Global Medical TA Head and relevant Global Medical Directors + Drives Program Execution + Identifies ways to optimize program execution without compromise to patients or compliance. + Accountable to maintain the integrated Medical and Integrated Evidence Generation plans, ensuring delivery of critical path activities. + Accountable to ensure timely and accurate updates to key information within reporting systems. **Ensures Program Operational Excellence** + Manages franchise – wide oversight of the strategic global Medical Team forum to ensure progress of asset programs + Partners with the Global Medical TA Head to provide financial oversight of the programs including trial and non-trial budgets. Includes consolidation, vetting and prioritization of MT spending to deliver critical path activities. + Ensures asset strategy and integrated Medical plans have a patient-centric focus, incorporating innovative approaches that are meaningful to patients, HCPs, regulators & payers, and adhere to the highest standards of operational excellence in life cycle management. **Risk Management** + Proactively identify potential issues or obstacles and achieves resolution or plans contingencies. + Responsible to ensure schedules and financial forecasts provided by work package owners are accurate and up-to-date, supporting aligned plans and efficient execution of the strategy. + Follow issues through to resolution ensuring that all key stakeholders are informed of outcomes and program implications, providing clarity and direction in urgent or unexpected situations. + Independently resolves complex issues and competing priorities that may impact achievement of goals, creates mitigation plans and drives to resolution. **Communication and Reporting** + Manages scheduled and ad-hoc program status reporting, citing progress to program goals/KPIs, proactively identifying risk with planned mitigation(s), and providing rationale for timeline and budget variances. + Responsible for leading preparation efforts for governance engagement to support and drive asset objectives and deliverables. + Participate in quarterly/annual portfolio analyses to communicate program development progress, opportunities, and risks to Medical Senior Management. + Facilitates relevant communications to appropriate cross-regional, cross-functional, cross-divisional and Alliance partners (as appropriate). **Other Accountabilities** + Ensures best practice and continuous improvement initiative sharing across NextGen Immunology team and across overall Medical Program Management team + Provides direction and mentors junior colleagues and peers to work strategically and drive results; identifies opportunities for project managers to demonstrate their abilities; uses effective coaching techniques to refocus energy and address barriers to success; leads by example. + May have responsibility for line management of project managers as well as contractors within the Global PM function. **About You** **Experience** + Advanced experience in the pharmaceutical industry in expanding roles in Medical or related field, including experience and understanding of the current pharmaceutical environment, with experience managing complex projects, ability to successfully bridge between different fields of expertise, and managing program risks and challenges (including scenario and contingency planning). + Advanced experience multi-/cross functional team experience + Strong knowledge of drug development process, regulatory and business requirements + Advanced experience with managing alliance partnerships **Soft skills** : + Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) for bridging across diverse, cross functional, multi-national, geographically dispersed teams + May have responsibility for line management of project managers as well as contractors within the Global PM function. **Education** : + Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. BS, MS, PhD, PharmD, MD, DVM) or related degree with substantial project management and/or project leadership experience. + Business qualifications such as MBA or professional project management qualification such as PMP® of added benefit. **Languages** : English **Why Choose Us?** + Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused team. + Discover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it’s through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationally. + Enjoy a thoughtful, well-crafted rewards package that recognizes your contribution and amplifies your impact. + Take good care of yourself and your family, with a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits including high-quality healthcare, prevention and wellness programs and at least 14 weeks’ gender-neutral parental leave.
