Works at the clinic site in collaboration with the Cancer Care Leadership to ensure high quality and safe interpretation, delivery, operation, and monitoring of radiation safety policies, procedures, standards, and equipment for Radiation Oncology Services.
We are seeking a Junior Medical Physicist to join our dynamic and growing radiation oncology team in Santa Barbara, California. This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a modern, fully digital clinical environment alongside two senior medical physicists committed to excellence in patient care and innovation.
You will be involved in the implementation, support, and quality assurance of advanced radiation therapy techniques, including Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT). The department is equipped with a comprehensive suite of leading-edge technologies, including two Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators, MOSAIQ Record & Verify system, RayStation for external beam treatment planning, a Flexitron HDR brachytherapy unit with Oncentra treatment planning, Radformation ClearCalc and ClearCheck for secondary dose verification and plan evaluation, and an Xstrahl 100 low-energy X-ray system for superficial treatments. This position offers broad exposure to clinical medical physics and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to treatment planning, QA, and the ongoing development of advanced therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications:
- Willing to relocate to Santa Barbara, CA or surrounding area
- M.S. or PhD in Medical Physics, or a closely related field, required.
- Clinical experience in addition to a CAMPEP-accredited residency.
- Candidates who have passed the Part-I and (possibly) part-II ABR Exams preferred
- Candidates who are not certified have to be eligible for board certification and must achieve this status within 3 years of hire.
- Experience with High Dose Rate (HDR) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) programs preferred.
- Computer system administration experience with patient record and verify database applications desirable.
- Must apply for and maintain relevant State licensing and/or registration as required for working as a medical physicist at the clinical site and to do so in a timely manner

The annual base pay for this position is:
Min $147,700 - Max $221,500Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
