The Medical Lead holds end-to-end accountability for their franchise, driving scientific excellence and impact in the UK. This role combines strategic leadership with tactical execution to drive improvements in vaccination and immunization standards.

Main responsibilities:
1. Strategic External Scientific Influence
Build relationships with key stakeholders to establish Medical Lead as the credible scientific authority through evidence-based engagementGenerate and apply insights to shape internal strategyLead scientific exchange at congresses and advisory boards2. Medical Strategy & Scientific Leadership
Own and deliver the franchise medical strategy to turn science into protectionLead franchise scientific content glocalisation and reviewCollaborate with global teams to influence and implement strategyMeasure and demonstrate impact of medical initiativesManage own franchise budget, manage external vendors and agencies when engaged for franchise-specific projects3. Evidence Generation & Insights
Identify evidence gaps and develop strategies to address them in alignment with IEGP and in collaboration with RWE lead and market access team.Lead publication planning and execution for franchise.4. Cross-functional Leadership
Sole medical contribution to cross-functional team, consolidating insights from external engagement, knowledge of product and competitor data landscape and global medical strategy to co-lead cross-functional team.Lead internal collaboration with R&D, market access, public affairs and commercial colleagues to maximize business impactEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements including ABPI.Mentor and develop team members, partner with other medical leads to strengthen Sanofi Vaccines portfolioAbout you
Education & Experience
UK Registered Healthcare Professional or PhD in life sciencesMinimum 3 years' pharmaceutical industry experience, vaccines experience a strong advantageStrong scientific and clinical knowledge in vaccines/immunologyKey Competencies
