Analyzing lab testing is pretty complex. We depend on the knowledge and skills of our medical technologists when it comes to evaluating medical lab tests to determine what’s happening with our patients. They are vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, accurately analyzing and reporting all lab tests according to procedures and regulatory guidelines. What you’ll do:
Align with local and state requirements to perform tests according to Standard Operating ProceduresProvide excellent patient care throughout laboratory process within established turnaround timesAssist in upkeep and maintenance of major automated equipmentPerform proficiency testing as assigned, participating in opportunities for continued education or trainingComplete all work and resolve or escalate issues as neededAdhere to all regulatory requirementsOther duties as requiredMay consider MLS qualified candidates in similar positionJob Requirements
What you’ll need:
Associate's degree in Medical Lab Technology, or related field defined by CLIAOR High school diploma/GED and trained as Medical Lab Specialist in militaryPreferred: Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCPAppropriately trained in clinical lab sciencePosition may be filled as MLS Med Lab Scientist for qualified applicantsJoin us at CommonSpirit Health, and become a part of our faith-based health system.

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
