with a focus in a specialty areas of the Laboratory such as Blood Bank Hematology Chemistry Serology andor Microbiology Receives andor obtains specimens for laboratory analysis Records laboratory test results Performs training activities and special projects In the absence of a Medical Technologist may be asked to perform additional duties in order to ensure patient care needs are met through minimum of one year clinical laboratory experienceDemonstrates efficient operation and knowledge of basic instrument theory of operation and function of componentsDemonstrates efficient operation and knowledge of basic instrument theory of operation and function of componentsPreferred Qualifications Medical TechnologistA Bachelor of Science in Medical TechnologyAmerican Society of Clinical Pathologists ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist or ASCP Categorical Certification specific for laboratory section employed in H C M BB or eligible requiredMust provide education transcript
