Hours- 7 - 3:30pm Days - Monday thru Friday and Every 3rd WeekendWill Accept MLT or MLS Non-Registerred Duties - This position will be a "Send outs" focused role. Because of the acuity and research aspects of SLCH, there are many complex tests that are sent to a multitude of different laboratories. For these complex tests: specimens need processed, testing needs ordered, specimens need packaged and shipped, reports need reviewed, and results need to be scanned into the patient chart. This role requires strengths in organization, communication, and attention to detail. This role will also require consistent and clear communication with providers and external laboratories.

Role Purpose
Performs specimen processing and routine testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Demonstrates good laboratory practices.
Responsibilities
Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary.Operates all instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.Reports results through the laboratory computer system accurately, meeting published turn around times for routine testing and stats.Minimum Requirements
