Job DescriptionNorco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical Equipment Cleaner position. The Equipment Cleaner cleans and refurbishes various types of medical equipment in an efficient, accurate manner. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform functional testing on various types of medical equipmentRe-certify medical equipment to CMS and accreditation body standardsDocument that cleaned equipment needs accreditation body standards in TIMS Equipment Tracking System (ETS) NotesBag serviced medical equipment for shipping and place Clean, Test, Bag, Tag (CTBT) tag on equipment showing it is ready for patient useResearch maintenance records in TIMS ETSCommunicate with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management regarding the servicing of equipmentBack up Route Delivery DriverEfficiently organize delivery route on a daily basisDelivers durable medical equipment, as well as other home care related equipment to specific points of deliveryProtects patient PHI per HIPAA regulationsHandles the retrieval of rental return items and their proper handling and placement into the designated rental return areaProvides patient/client orientation instructing on the proper use of equipmentWorks with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems, thereby acting as a company fieldrepresentativePerforms other tasks as assigned or necessaryPart TimeQualificationsElectronic technician degree or prior experience as a medical repair technicianPossess the ability to repair, maintain, clean, and package various types of medical equipmentPossess strong mechanical skillsAbility to lift equipment from floor to work bench weighing up to 50 lbs on a frequent basisWork in an environment with fumes, odors, dust, gas, and poor ventilationComplete tasks and solve problems independently with little supervisionAdditional Information
