Medical Education Program Coordinator, Radiology
The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia is seeking a Medical Education Program Coordinator to join our dedicated Education team. This role will coordinate all aspects of the Interventional Radiology Integrated and Independent Residency Programs, which provide comprehensive training in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of conditions managed by interventional radiologists. This role collaborates closely with the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Administrator and residency program leadership to support all three residency programs within the department.  In addition, this role provides operational and administrative support for other functions within the Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations and educational activities for the IR-Integrated and IR-Independent Residency ProgramsMaintain accurate program records for compliance with ACGME national accreditation standardsProvide support for Medical Student programs.Support program and department budgetsInterprets policies and assists in establishing internal procedures.Monitor and track resident training experiences and requirements, including work hours, resident profiles and evaluations using the New Innovations platformAssist program directors in completing annual GME and accreditation activities, and provide administrative support to traineesPrepare documentation and coordinate semi-annual reviews for each resident.Scheduling and coordinating meetings and events on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.Provide onsite support for the entire Radiology Medical Education Team weekly and during annual events such as Resident Graduation.Contribute to the planning and implementation of new educational initiatives within the Medical Education Team.Coordinate interviews and recruitment processes for prospective residents under NRMP guidelines.Coordinate the offboarding and onboarding processes for residents graduating from and matriculating into the program.Assist with planning and execution of departmental and residency events such as Grand Rounds, Graduation, wellness events, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Six years of experience. Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Familiar with national entities such as ACGME, ABR, ACR, NRMPExperience using the New Innovations platform, or another program management platform.Experience using institutional platforms such as Qgenda, Workday, Zoom, Teams and Qualtrics.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to work independently or collaborativelyProblem-solving capabilities and a positive, team-oriented mindset


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

This is a restricted position, and continuation is dependent on performance and available funding.

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. This is is a non-exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits. This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability.
