Medical Education Manager for ROSA Robotics and Technology

What You Can Expect

The Medical Education Manager will lead the strategic planning and execution of educational programs that support the ROSA® robotic joint reconstruction platform. This role is instrumental in designing and implementing high-impact, surgeon-facing training initiatives that drive adoption, proper utilization, and clinical excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in orthopedic procedures, medical training, and cross-functional collaboration, with a passion for enhancing surgeon education in robotic technologies.

How You'll Create Impact Lead the development and implementation of the short- and long-term education strategy for the ROSA® Joint Reconstruction platform.Collaborate with surgeon faculty to conceive, design, and execute medical education events, ensuring clinical relevance and alignment with product strategy.Plan, coordinate, and execute various types of educational programs, including but not limited to:National and Local BioSkills EventsNational Introductory and Regional Training EventsVirtual Educational Events and WebinarsLocal Surgeon Dinner MeetingsOnline and On-Demand Educational ContentIndustry-Sponsored Side Events at Major ConferencesEnsure all activities are executed within the allocated budget and in alignment with compliance and industry standards.Maintain strong clinical and technical knowledge of orthopedic enabling technologies, including surgical workflows and competitive landscape.Establish and maintain trusted relationships with surgeon faculty, ensuring consistent communication and preparedness for ROSA-related programs.Collect feedback and program metrics to assess training impact, identify improvements, and report on outcomes.Support cross-functional projects related to education, training content development, and new product introductions.

What Makes You Stand Out Ability to use clinical and product knowledge to develop strategic and creative surgeon education programs that enhance customer experience and product utilization.Skilled in translating technical medical terminology into business-relevant insights and strategic actions.Familiar with best practices in adult learning and instructional design, particularly in hands-on, cadaveric, and virtual learning environments.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build long-term relationships with key opinion leaders, strategic customers, and regional sales teams.Demonstrated ability to evaluate and continuously improve educational programs to ensure consistency, relevance, and compliance.Effective project management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Experience working collaboratively in a matrixed organization with cross-functional stakeholders.Technologically adept with experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), CRM platforms, and virtual education tools.Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing, medical education/training, or medical device sales—orthopedic experience preferred.Experience working with surgical faculty and key opinion leaders.Familiarity with Zimmer Biomet’s orthopedic product portfolio, particularly ROSA® or similar enabling technologies, is strongly preferred.Large Joint orthopedic experience is a significant advantage.Travel Expectations Up to 70% travel, including evenings and weekends, to support educational programs and events.

Expected Compensation Range: $126k to $150k, plus bonus
