This role is responsible for driving innovation, clinical research, and external engagement to ensure alignment with business objectives and global healthcare needs. The Director will serve as a key medical expert and strategic partner across cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory, Commercial, and Market Access. **What You’ll Work On** + Lead the development and execution of the medical strategy for Hematology systems, ensuring alignment with global business goals. + Oversee clinical research initiatives, including investigator-sponsored studies, collaborative research, and evidence generation. + Serve as the primary medical liaison for internal stakeholders and external partners, including the medical community, policymakers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic institutions, and regulatory bodies. + Provide medical input into product development, lifecycle management, and regulatory submissions. + Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to align research projects with business strategy. + Support commercial teams with scientific content, training, and customer engagement strategies. + Represent Abbott at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and industry forums. + Ensure compliance with global medical governance and ethical standards. **Required Qualifications** + Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.) + A valid medical license and Board certification in Hematology or Hematopathology. + 5+ years of clinical experience as a Hematologist, Hematopathologist or related specialty. + Hands-on experience with hematology analyzer or strong familiarity with their use in lab settings + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for working with internal teams, investigators, and external stakeholders. + Ability to present complex medical information clearly to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
