**Job Title: Medical Device Assembler** **Job Description**
Join our team as a Medical Device Assembler, where you will work with cutting-edge technology in the field of catheter assembly. This role involves assembling electrical emitters inside balloon-delivered catheters, which requires microscope-intensive work such as connecting electrodes. You will also be involved in balloon catheter assembly, including length cutting, sealing, crimping, and folding. Your work will contribute to both subassemblies and final assemblies, and you will document all details of the work completed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up stations with materials, tools, and instructions for line clearance.
+ Build subassemblies and final assemblies based on provided instructions.
+ Document all work details on the lot history record.
+ Assist in the development of the next generation of catheter products.
+ Install wires within the shaft and marker band using various tools.
+ Manually crimp shafts and wires.
+ Cut wires to length and crimp inner sleeves at the catheter's end.
+ Place emitters accurately within assemblies and apply UV light and adhesive.
+ Conduct visual inspections and test emitters using a generator and micrometer.
+ Bond balloons to shafts using a welding machine.
+ Form RX Port by loading and trimming mandrills and inserting wires.
+ Verify length from distal to proximal using a ruler.
+ Assemble hubs with UV curing for catheter entry ports.
+ Perform leak tests to ensure no liquid escapes.
+ Test pleat and fold functionality by folding balloons and inserting them into shafts.
+ Seal catheter tips using a heat seal oven.
+ Install the connection between the catheter and the device for power.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in medical device assembly, particularly class 3 devices.
+ Proficiency in working with catheters, microscopes, and UV curing equipment.
+ Knowledge of GMP, MPI, and LHR protocols.
+ Familiarity with using a hot box for curing processes.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with balloon catheter assembly is highly desirable.
+ Ability to work with precision tools such as snap gauges, tweezers, pliers, and cutters.

**Work Environment**
Work in a regulated cleanroom environment requiring top-down gowning for PPE. The role follows a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm. This structured environment ensures safety and precision in all assembly processes.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
