Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Elk Grove, California. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to patients, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone or in-person, delivering top-tier customer service.
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments and managing reminders to ensure timely care.
• Verify medical insurance information and process billing inquiries accurately.
• Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain and update patient records in electronic practice management systems.
• Support the coordination of patient interactions, including chart preparation and documentation.
• Handle high-volume call center operations while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
• Operate office equipment and software for daily administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure clinic efficiency and resource stewardship.
• Uphold the clinic's reputation by fostering positive patient relationships and delivering consistent service. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least six months of experience in a medical office or outpatient setting is preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume customer service role is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
• Proficiency in keyboarding and familiarity with standard office equipment and software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is crucial for effective communication.
• Experience with electronic practice management systems is preferred.
