Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Carmichael, California. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient interactions and efficient office operations. Your expertise in customer service and familiarity with medical practices will help support both patients and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities: • Respond to patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding appointments, billing, and medical records. • Schedule and manage patient appointments while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Verify medical insurance details and assist patients with understanding their coverage. • Handle high-volume inbound calls with professionalism and empathy. • Maintain and update patient charts and records using electronic practice management systems. • Assist with patient billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. • Conduct reminder calls to patients regarding upcoming appointments or necessary paperwork. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth office operations and patient satisfaction. • Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. • Operate standard office equipment and software to complete daily tasks. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • A minimum of six months of experience in a medical office setting or a high-volume customer service role is preferred. • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a commitment to excellent customer service. • Proficiency in keyboarding and familiarity with computer systems, including electronic practice management software. • Knowledge of basic medical terminology is essential. • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism. • Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and billing is highly desirable. • Previous experience in an inbound call center environment is a plus.
