Medical Customer Service Rep

Description We are looking for an experienced Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Westerville, Ohio. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to support patients by ensuring their billing and account needs are handled efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will excel at delivering patient-focused service while managing inquiries and resolving account issues.
Responsibilities:
• Address patient account balances with a focus on patient-centric solutions.
• Accurately calculate and collect payments from patients in adherence to guidelines.
• Process accounts efficiently and ensure all transactions are completed with accuracy.
• Set up and manage payment plans using the online bill pay platform while adhering to established protocols.
• Investigate and reconcile claim discrepancies and related issues.
• Assist the scheduling team by identifying in-network insurance contracts and reimbursement policies.
• Research and resolve accounts receivable concerns as directed.
• Update insurance information and process corrections due to registration errors.
• Request refunds and manage adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to suggest workflow improvements and enhance service delivery. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center or customer service role.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and billing processes.
• Proficiency in handling patient interactions professionally and empathetically.
• Knowledge of CPT codes and patient billing procedures.
• Ability to manage inbound calls and assist customers with account inquiries.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address accounts receivable issues.
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with patients and staff.
